In our 50 minute therapy sessions you will deepen your knowledge of yourself, we will validate your struggles, and give you practical skills to move forward with a stronger, more resilient you.

We use a number of different therapeutic approaches depending on your needs and learning styles.  These include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Reality Therapy, Compassion Focused Therapy, Family Systems Theory, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.

Most importantly, we strive to ensure that you leave every session feeling supported, valued, heard, and understood.  Because that is the environment that enables true growth and change.

Michelle DeYoung is the founder and head counsellor at Fireside Therapy. She is a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) with extensive experience working with youth and families. Her particular specialities are positive parenting and living with chronic health challenges.
